Jessie Bowen's Profile


Jessie Bowen is the Executive Director and owner of USA Workshops, Karate International of Durham, Inc., The American Martial Arts Alliance, LLC and Mastermind-Sports.com located in Durham, North Carolina. These companies specialize in sports hypnosis training, personal development training, martial arts - fitness training, child development, visualization training and martial arts cross training.

Coach Bowen is a certified sport hypnosis coach, Silva Method certified lecturer and has been training world class athletes for over 25 years in basketball, football, running, tennis, boxing, bowling and martial arts. He has been a member of the Duke University Physical Education Staff for over 20 years, teaching martial arts and bowling. As a martial artist Mr. Bowen holds the title of Grandmaster and the martial arts rank of 9th degree black belt and won over 2000 trophies including two world titles in martial arts competition. In addition, he has promoted over 300 students to the rank of black belt and is also the executive director of the American Martial Arts Alliance, LLC.

In 2002, Coach Bowen became a professional bowler on the on the PBA Tour after winning over 40 amateur titles in bowling tournaments. He is a USBC Certified Bowling Coach, Bowling instructor for Duke University and author of “Zen Bowling: the Psychology of Better Bowling”. Through his virtual training course, tele-conference, and audio training programs he has enhanced the performance of Bowlers worldwide. In 2002, USA Workshops established a consultant service for Collegiate bowling teams.

Mr. Bowen was a sports consultant-trainer for the University of North Carolina football program for 10 years during which UNC won bowl games 9 years out of the 10. In the 2000 – 2001 basketball season he was a sports consultant trainer for the NCAA National Champions Duke University basketball team.
